The Buffalo Bruce Podcast. Hi folks, Jason here. Um, it's been a minute. Uh so one of the things I've learned from our podcast coaches over the years is breaks are sometimes necessary when we're releasing episodes. And while we are also told that no explanation really is ever needed, uh this one I think deserves it because the the day after our ready to drink cocktail episode was released, my podcast co-host, Sabrina, received a phone call that, quite frankly, nobody should ever have to get. And while Sabrina herself is okay, that phone call changed everything for her. Um, being her best friend and having that friend who was there for me when my world changed back in 2017, it was the only right move for me to stop everything that I was doing and give her all my energy and support while she needed that the most. Uh it's been nearly six weeks, and I can say that she's doing uh a whole lot better. And she wanted me to extend her heartfelt thanks to everyone who's reached out, who sent along words of love, support, and encouragement. And as is expected, uh Sabrina has taken the time that she needs for those significant changes and has taken a step away from the microphone. Thankfully, we have two episodes, as we like to call them, quote, in the tank, where you can enjoy her energy, her commentary, and of course that infectious laugh. The face that runs the place will be back in time, so don't you worry. We love you, Breezy. Uh, this episode coming up, we have entitled A View to a Pint. It was recorded in mid-August as Summer was winding down and talks about the great brewery patios around western New York. The great news is that even in fall, and it's uh we're getting a little lower in the temperatures and a little more crisp outside, that some of these patios can still be enjoyed. So give this episode a listen. Send us your comments on social media of your favorite brewery patios in western New York. Enjoy.
SPEAKER_01I mean, the only good thing about fall is fall beers.
SPEAKER_02You're like the only thing good about fall is fall beers. You love fall.
SPEAKER_01No, I love fall foods, I love fall beers, I love I love fall hikes, I love fall camping. The list goes on. Fall is probably, I don't want to say as my favorite time because fall then leads into winter, which is like the worst. But I'm happy that you don't have to be so sad when summer is over because fall is beginning. Right. So yeah. I'm just sad when fall ends and winter begins. Winter is coming. Winter. Winter.
SPEAKER_02It's like do I need some Game of Thrones music on? We probably get in trouble. Um, yeah, uh, one of the things that we've that we've talked about time and time and time again in recent years is we talk about how many great patio spaces there are around the Buffalo area when it comes to having a beer and sitting outside. I think I think it's great to be able to get out and experience some of these. So, I mean, we've always had our short list of our favorite patio spaces. Yeah. Uh, what's the first one that comes to your mind? Maybe maybe not the best one, but what's the first one that comes to your mind?
SPEAKER_01Well, since we have Wayland beer, now Wayland is the only thing I'm thinking about because it's spinning in front of us.
SPEAKER_02Oh, and it what is this? Is this Jumby? Yes. Jumby is their guava sour ale coming in at 4.5%. And why do we know that? Because they were our one of our our draft picks for the Buffalo beer draft this season. Yeah, very, very fun beer.
SPEAKER_01Oh, yeah. I love this one. And I have my Wayland glass. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02I think this was our second round draft pick to me. Uh if I heard that.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02First first round I know is Borderlands from 42. Yeah. And I think Mr. Irrelevant, I think, became uh um, it was one of the fruit punch um beers from Briar Brothers. Our heart with Briar Brothers. Okay.
SPEAKER_01I'm gonna give myself the rest.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, go for it.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02I love that we have our this little turntable now that we can show off hands.
SPEAKER_01That's hilarious. It's just like I see it in the corner of my eye just turning. Like, you know, you know, when there's like a fancy diamond ring or something they're trying to show off. We're just showing off a can of beer this way.
SPEAKER_02Right. I wish I had my dramatic music that I could have put on here. I was like, hadn't hadn't Wayland Right. Oh my god. Clean sour beer made with pink guava.
SPEAKER_01All right. Cheers. Cheers. Delicious.
SPEAKER_02But Wayland has one of the most amazing patio scenes in Western New York.
SPEAKER_01I feel like the first time I had ever gone to Wayland um was before you went, and I came back and I said, You have to go because the patio area is legit. Yeah. So they have some games out there, um, lots of picnic tables, little bocce, some fire pits, the picnic tables, the seating.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. I think it's nice out there.
SPEAKER_02It's a great space. I mean, it's a great brewery, and they have a great outdoor space to boot.
SPEAKER_01Um I would say my number two that I can think of straight away is Hamburg. Hamburg brewing. So Because you have the pond with the fountain, you have some places in the shade, some places in the sun. I always love to sit near water, even if it's a man-made lake in front of me.
SPEAKER_02And it's not just the it's not just the pond. I mean, they have this whole area. I mean, we've gone there for their anniversary um celebration, and it's actually a very large campus. Um, it's just a lot of outdoor space, and they have the large uh tent area off to the right when you're there. Um, there's a back parking lot area that if you go through the back side of the property goes all the way through. And then there's a huge parking area back there. So they can accommodate a lot of people for outdoor events there. Uh, we went there like I think what was it last year's or the year before? Went to one of their anniversary uh celebrations. Didn't stay very long because we went there early. We had a laundry list of things I remember we had to to visit.
SPEAKER_01Oh, yeah, it was a stop in.
SPEAKER_02Always, yeah. But it was it was worth it to see it from that perspective. So when you go to Hamburg, the seating, we've done brunch there before on Sunday. Which is so good. Bumped into a friend of ours who was playing music there that day. Uh, we've been inside, it's kind of got like this kind of hunting cabin feel. Oh, yeah, indoors. It's cozy in the winter. Yeah, it's like a Hamburg. I would tell anybody that if you're looking for a destination brewery for aesthetics, you Hamburg's on that list.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, they decorate everything for every holiday. Every holiday. You go in there, they had we went to Easter brunch and it was all Easter. And they do fall, they do Halloween, they do fall for like the Thanksgiving time, then they transition over to Christmas, and then they have winter when they take away like the holiday portion of it. Like, I don't know. It's it's nice. I like what they do. Whoever decorates in there, that the area to store all the things they put in there has to be massive.
SPEAKER_02They uh one of these days we'll have to ask the question. I don't know who's in in charge too, but we've gone to certain places before, like to borrow a winery, and found out that like the one the the one sister the daughter, I think or the daughter, maybe comes into town to decorate to decorate. Yeah, it's just her own personal touch. It's it's really cool when you see that because going in and and finding an inviting place, it's uh it's different. It's it's different than just saying, I'm gonna set up a Christmas tree in the corner. Yeah, um, but they just stop they just do it up. It's a destination for any time of year. Obviously, you know, obviously the patio area in the wintertime. Not really your thing you're gonna visit, but summertime, it's a place to be. And being able to take in a great brunch, um, have you know brunch beer, because why not? Beer mosa's. Right. Beer mosa. Right. We've we've had this great discussion about beer mosas over the last like three, four days here.
SPEAKER_01I know, because of all the beers you can use to make a fun beer mosa. Because you could do a fruity beer, you could do an IPA, you could do a um what were we just talking about? A like a kolsch, right?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, because coal um we were just at Rohrbach the other day.
SPEAKER_01And then they had the pogant even that was so good, and yeah, that I feel like you could totally make an amazing mimosa with. Yep, for sure.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Uh another one that comes up on our our list is uh literally right around the corner from the Montfortress podcast studio and all things in between is uh Brightsmith.
SPEAKER_01Oh, yeah. That patio is packed a hundred percent of the time. I do not know unless you get there right when they open that you're gonna be able to say, I'd take a seat at the patio, and they would say, Oh, we'll take you right away. That like never happens, right? I feel like we're there in the middle of the week and the patio is overflowing. And I get it, right? Because it's western New York and we have whatever 12, 14 weeks of good weather, right? And then it's cold, so we don't have that ability to be outside. But yeah, they have whatever, what is that back there? Like it's the water that leads to the waterfall at Glen Park. So that's Ellicott Creek. Oh, that's Ellicott Creek that runs through there. Yeah, yeah. So you have like kind of that picturesque outdoor, like little moving river back there, so you can hear the water. You're outside, you're having you know, good fun with your friends, the food's good, the beer's good, they got some lights strung up. They have people who come out like bands later on in the night, you know. So yeah.
SPEAKER_02And Bright Smith's built in an old mill. So they took the the bones of this and made this incredible brewery experience. And again, you could be, you know, if you were lucky enough to get a table on the rail out back in the beer garden, you're right on Ellicott Creek. Right. If you're inside along the uh the left-hand wall, you're sitting like over top of the creek practically.
SPEAKER_01And even if you're upstairs, if you're either in the back or the or the front like side, you're still looking down at the water. You're getting some great views there. Yeah. They have a they have a great space all around. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Brightsmith, um, if you're lucky enough to get street parking in Williamsville, that that's great as well. Um, there's multiple different places that you can park. Tons of municipal or huge municipal lot right behind the library. Yeah. You know, that you walk over, it's barely a couple hundred yards.
SPEAKER_01Right across the street, too, is like a plastic surgery center that they even have a sign up that's like you can park there after a certain time because they're closed. Right. So they're like, whatever, if you're gonna park here, nobody's gonna tow you. We don't have people coming in, we're not coming in, so go ahead. Yeah. So I don't know what time that is, but you could read the sign for there. You could park over at the park, right? And you could just walk up the hill and across the street. Yeah, you could blend park. Yep. Mm-hmm. They have two lots there. All you have to do is walk by. Oh, look at that beautiful waterfall. Walk to the top, go across the street, Brightsmith.
SPEAKER_02And that makes a fun little experience there. Cause I mean, once you're done at Brightsmith, great, great food there. Um, beer is always it's it's consistent. You never have to worry about uh I'm all about beer and french fries there.
SPEAKER_01Right. They're French fries, so good. Parmesan is it the truffle fries? The no garlic parmesan. Okay. Oh, so good. I literally just go there to eat french fries and drink beer. Probably the two worst things for you, but it's what I just want. I don't care. I and you love the pizzas there. I can't eat pizza, but you love it.
SPEAKER_02The meat street pizza, it's like this like a bacon, sausage, like hot honey.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, they do like a drizzle over it.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, just nuts. I love stuff like that. I feel like it's pure it's pre it's pizza with protein. You know, there you go. I just had pepperoni and bacon on a uh pizza this past weekend. Right protein. We're good. We're good. What's another place that's on your list?
SPEAKER_01Uh Ellicottille.
SPEAKER_02Ellicottville.
SPEAKER_01Took Josh there for the first time after we hiked, and he was just blown away. He had no idea that that whole space out there You don't see any of it.
SPEAKER_02You can't see it in it from the from the street. No. When you're in the too when you're in the town of a city or you don't see it from the restaurant either. No. You don't even know it exists. It's a building front. You know it's a brewery because people could be sitting at those those high tops that are along the windows there.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02But once you come in on the side and you can come right into the beer garden out back, I mean it just opens up into what you expect a beer garden to be.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02You know, just tables willy-nilly all over the place, uh beautiful layout. And then they've got the outdoor bar. Right. Yeah. And fair I what I love about it is super attentive staff, uh, a history of beer that it that doesn't um that never disappoints.
SPEAKER_01And the whole front area, you don't technically need to like ask for a table.
SPEAKER_00Right.
SPEAKER_01So if you wanted to get food, you'd have to go to the bar to order it. And then if you just want to go in for drinks, the whole front area, the bar, they have some couches and then some little like two, I think it's like two people, like high top tables. Okay. And that's just your if I want to go in and drink a beer. Yeah. You know, so there's availability for everyone to be able to enjoy being outside there. You know, we got a table, ate lunch, sure, but it was beautiful.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. It's uh it's it's always a great opportunity when you're when you're in Ellicottville. There's so many things to to experience. And now, I mean, we've got um we got some opportunities. We've been in discussions with uh Ellicottville here in the past couple of weeks. So we're gonna we'll be working on some uh some projects there to um you know hopefully be able to share with everybody. Um we'll see we'll see how it comes together. But uh love ellicottille. I I love the opportunity to get down there. Um few breweries there, uh steel bound. Um that don't have an outdoor space that I know of there, but not to say that they don't have it. But if you're going to Ellicaville, you're there for Ellicaville brewing. That's that's all there is to it. Uh see and it's just a a again a fantastic outdoor seat.
SPEAKER_01And there's a bunch of other places around Ellicaville that have outdoor seating that you can see, but I feel like Ellicaville brewing really nailed that one. Yeah. Um, let's see, what else? For outdoor space, we got um, oh, you got little rusty nickel, which you can actually go out there even when it's cold outside and they have heaters, which I think is pretty cool. So their outdoor space, they don't completely shut down. It's kind of like, I don't know, not all year, but all year if the weather isn't horrifying, I'll I'll say. Yeah, right.
SPEAKER_02We're not we're not serving in a lake effect snow.
unknownYeah. We're good.
SPEAKER_01But they have these heaters outside for when it's cold outside, but in the summertime, it doesn't just extend further back, but they kind of have this whole garden area that's built up all out and around, and some fun tables and benches and things like that that you could take your beer out to.
SPEAKER_02Right. They uh it's really creative, and then um, I mean, they had there's quite a history that goes beyond that be with that space too, because they're backed up to uh a high road. So up above them, there's a road up there, and then it slopes down, and they kind of incorporated some of the hill into the decoration for the place to kind of open up the space a little bit. And the neighbors I know for years they negotiated the space so that they could expand that beer garden. So, however that deal worked out, I've never really asked the questions, but then that was it allowed them to put uh the stonework in the water.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, the water feature and everything. Yeah, yeah. Maybe they gave them some free beer, you never know. Listen, I would give up some land if there was a brewery next door and they were like, listen, you could come over and have like a free beer a week. Right. I'd be over there getting my weekly beer.
SPEAKER_02If I'm doing that, I want to make friends with the neighbors because they're like, hey, you know, sometimes we're gonna be doing some things, sometimes, you know, like you know, like we're not gonna get crazy with the music, etc. etc. You know, what what can we do here?
SPEAKER_01Right.
SPEAKER_02Like what works for you where we're not being a nuisance, yeah, and at the same time you can enjoy.
SPEAKER_01I'll just bring my special mug for them to fill beer, right?
SPEAKER_02Um, yeah. So uh what are your choices for outdoor space? Well, I mean, I mean, we've hit them all already. I mean, I'm a big fan of Whalen, Brightsmith, Ellicottville, um, Rusty Nickel Hamburg. I also like Brazen. Oh, yeah. Brazen's a nice spot because it's uh they're out there, like out there on Genesee Street. Yeah, they have that little side patio. Right. Far enough away from the throughway, you're not getting a you're not getting any throughway noise. But you can just pop right out the door. There's a big old space over there. Yeah. You know, you got the kids, and the kids are, you know, you know, the kids are bored. There's the yard area there that they, you know, they can uh run amuck in.
SPEAKER_01Run amok. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01I would say, let's see if I can think of anything else that I would like.
SPEAKER_02I know it's not a brewery, but Rationales, which is just down the hill from Brightsmith, has a nice little front.
SPEAKER_01They have the upstairs that you can kind of sit on their roof of their patio. So they have a patio outside that has a roof, uh area on the outside that you can sit that's like right on Main Street. But if you go inside the brewery and up the stairs, you got like that top area. That's where I like to sit.
SPEAKER_02That's yeah, that's nice too. Yeah, they always do some outdoor music out there, and it's kind of a close quarters thing, so it's always like you're kind of in the show, I guess you would say. Yeah, yeah. That's al that's always a fun one. Um we've had some experiences with like old Gene uh um OFW, like old Gene McCarthy's um brewery. Um that was the time when we went and did the for the ward, and the guy rolled up in a train to pick up his dinner, a frickin' train.
SPEAKER_01So um we haven't been to, but I saw on Instagram that new patio that is help me remember the name of it, and it's in downtown. Well, maybe not downtown, but Buffalo, where they have like the new Hawaiian um kind of like barbecue-y, whatever Buffalo Brewing Company. There you go.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, they've got a nice little space.
SPEAKER_01I've seen their yeah, I've seen theirs on Instagram and it looks nice. I haven't experienced it yet. If anybody has, let me know how that food was and how the outdoor space is.
SPEAKER_02We're we're gonna get over there eventually because they the the food choice over there, that's very inviting. Yeah, yeah. Um, with that same, it's because the one of the former vendors at Buffalo Brewing that was now with Briar Brothers. Briar Brothers has a nice little outdoor space as well. So they always have uh the little stage area between the silos where they can have music.
SPEAKER_01I just love when they do the dog things there. If you're talking outdoor space at Briar, it better be because they brought in another dog rescue for me to come pet all the dogs. Right. All the dogs.
SPEAKER_02Um Riverworks has uh has a lot of outdoor space. I've never sat outside at Riverworks, it's right along the Buffalo.
SPEAKER_01You know where else um Hartman slash Resurgence. Yes, because you have the shared space in between. That's a that's a nice little area, too.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, which is cool because you can take a Hartman's drink and bring it into the patio.
SPEAKER_01You can bring Resurgence beer. You can either one, yeah. You can like you can mix and match.
SPEAKER_02There you go.
unknownThere you go.
SPEAKER_02Um New York Beer Project uh in Lockport. They have a um outdoor space that I've only ever wandered out into to check out. Um it's it's nice.
SPEAKER_01Um the have you ever been to the Orchard Park location? They have a nice outdoor space too.
SPEAKER_02I've been to the well, I've been to the line to lodge with you, but I we've never been outside.
SPEAKER_01Oh, okay. So I've only been outside then. Oh, okay.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, you've never been outside.
SPEAKER_01I don't even think so. You know when we were in that area for your birthday where the bar was on like this side here. Yes. So that door actually opens. Oh, gotcha. And then you could just go right outside in the summertime. And there's a patio, and then they have a whole bunch of like picnic tables out in the yard. They have like um whatever they. A beanbag toss. I don't know why it's not coming to me. And it's like famous in Buffalo. Cornhole. Cornhole. There you go.
SPEAKER_02If you watch ESPN the Ocho, they actually have tournaments and championships.
SPEAKER_01Big cornhole set up out there and stuff like that. So yeah, that's a cute space too. I'm trying to think of some more spaces. Um, I feel like Western New York really tries to do what they can. I mean again.
SPEAKER_02You can have, you know, uh Pearl Street. I mean, obviously their outdoor space is more on the upper levels, but uh their stuff like literally faces the 190.
SPEAKER_01I don't know that I've ever been outside there.
SPEAKER_02I've only I w I so I went to a fundraiser event years ago there. Okay, and I did some networking. This is when I was um when I was sitting on the board for the the the Kaleitis Foundation, and um that's when I would do a lot of networking is you know you're just out there, it's a nice night out and you're just talking with people on the rail. But the 190 is right there.
SPEAKER_01Well, there you are right there.
SPEAKER_02But you do get the the lakeside view, but I mean literally people coming off the 190 right there.
SPEAKER_01Speaking of lakeview, the top of um whatchamacallit? Johnson's landing. Yep, Johnson's landing. That's another one. Okay, here we're rolling. We're rolling. I know, guys. We don't even have this like written down. You're literally just like shoot from the hill.
SPEAKER_02Like we had a few more weeks of summer left.
SPEAKER_01We're coming up with these things.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_01So that top area is really nice. Yeah. And as long as they don't have an event going on, you're able to go up there. And if you if they do have an event, they also have a whole side area that's outside too. Correct.
SPEAKER_02So kind of like a double dipper if they don't have anything going up on one of the best sunsets of of any of any brewery in Western New York. And if you're gonna go with some now, now they don't have a very large patio, but if you go all the way out to East Concord and you go out to Mystic Hills, their patio space literally faces west.
SPEAKER_01It's the perfect sunset view. I wish I lived closer because I would probably frequent there on any time that I was like, it's gonna be a beautiful sunset. Let's go out there and have a beer. Yep.
SPEAKER_02If we're staying rural, we can go to Big Inlet down in Mayville. Beautiful, huge outdoor space. Yeah. Five and twenty in Westfield.
SPEAKER_01Oh, yeah. That's real nice too. Yeah, they have a big space out there. Yeah. Um, what was the one that oh, was that an Ellicottville that we just went to that you took me to when we were in um wherever we were that we saw your family for fourth and beemis point.
SPEAKER_02So it's elicateville brewing, but that's um what they call Ellicottville on Chautauqua or something like that. Chautauqua. So it's in Beamus Point.
SPEAKER_01That was a nice patio out there. Yeah, we sat out there for a beer.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I think um that's when we discovered that um Dank Sinatra by uh from um Pressure Drop. So when Pressure Drop went uh went under um the the intellectual property and the recipes went to were bought by Ellicottville. So, you know, they had you know the Blizzard, whatever Blizzard of 77, you know, some of the you know some of the regular stuff they do to Space Monkey, I think is another one they do from Pressure Drop. And all of a sudden we're in there and I'm like, dank Sinatra, this is the beer he's been talking about for a year. I might have already told the story, but but it was I mean, like Hank Dankerson from Double Edge, or was it Double Edge, or what was the brewery out in Ohio that we went to where they had that super dank beer that was like really high IBU? Oh yeah, and uh I was like, Oh man, I wish you could have had like you know, like dank Sinatra, and then boom, here's Dank Sinatra on the shelf.
SPEAKER_01And it was the first day that Dank Sinatra and then you looked on the internet and you saw on Instagram that they just released it, yeah. So yeah, there's still two or three cans in the fridge upstairs.
SPEAKER_02Um 42 North is uh is another great um patio space. I um I don't think you've ever seen the space because anything we've ever done is always in the wintertime, and if we are there during the summertime, we're always indoors.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I don't know that I've ever seen what's outside at 42.
SPEAKER_02One of these days I'll have to um I'll have to uh take you down because you have to like go down the stairs and uh around to the left. Oh, okay. Yeah, it's like uh but yeah, it's a nice little space out there. All right. It's nice. They got some um you know, fire pits. It's a little bit open. It's that's cute. It's a pretty decent space out there. Uh let's see, we talked about Rusty Nickel, Resurgence, we covered them. Hamburg, I'm trying to go through lists of of ones, but you're trying to go through the list of local breweries. You're so funny. I'm trying to think of it. Um Buffalo Old has a has a nice little space. Um, Big Ditch. Big Ditch. I mean, you're I mean you're sitting right on what is it, Huron Street.
SPEAKER_01But I mean Yeah, you're right downtown. I mean but you're out.
SPEAKER_02Huron's not a busy street per se. It's um it's a side it's a side street off of I'll say a side street off of a secondary street. Because even the secondary street's not that busy.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, because you can park on that street, so yeah.
SPEAKER_02Um yeah, you're going down there for a Sunday brunch and you get a table right outside, we're literally really it's like fence sidewalk street, boom. But it's not that bad.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. I can't think of any of the other ones.
SPEAKER_02No. Uh no, there's um you know, i i I think I think it's safe to say that when it comes to Western New York, there are a a large number of great spaces. Um, I think one of the things that um the Western New York Beer Trail covers as well in their book. I kind of wish I would have grabbed the grabbed the book now that I've thought it secondhand.
SPEAKER_01Well, this is what happens when you shoot from the hip. Well, that's all right.
SPEAKER_02I like shooting from the hip as well. Is sometimes uh so people like to know where uh where the uh dog patios are where you can where you can take a dog as well.
SPEAKER_01Dog friendly. Yeah, I don't have a dog or I'd know right away, but I do believe like Wayland, I've seen dogs there. Yeah. Um I don't know. I think I think you could bring your dog outside until they tell you you can't have your dog outside. I don't know. I feel like Western New York is pretty open when it comes to their outside area of bringing your dog.
SPEAKER_02I guess. I mean, but I mean some of them, some of them have rules and some of them are like, hey, we're we're good. Bring your bring your bread.
SPEAKER_01When it comes to breweries though, it's kind of like I feel like I've almost seen a dog everywhere. I don't know that breweries are so strict about it. I think it's more um like nicer restaurants that have outdoor space where they're like you can't bring a dog here. But when you're talking breweries, I mean, yeah, they have food, but they're primarily like you're going there to sit, relax, chill, have a beer.
SPEAKER_02It's probably comes down to rules in the town that they're in.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, maybe. Maybe.
SPEAKER_02I think that's what it comes down to.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. And actually, I've never seen a dog at Brightsmouth. So they might have a no-dog role.
SPEAKER_02Uh there's one.
SPEAKER_01Weird that way. But yeah. Keep it in your purse, I don't.
SPEAKER_02Right.
SPEAKER_01Remember Paris Hilton made that like super pop. Yeah. Teacup chihuahua, is that what I think? Yeah. Remember? Like, no one brought their dog in like strollers or purses. Paris Hilton years and years ago. I mean, this isn't even like new Paris Hilton. This is like that's hot Paris Hilton. Yeah, exactly. This is like Paris Hilton back in the day with like Nicole Ritchie. Is that her name? Nicole Ritchie.
SPEAKER_02That was like Nicole Richie.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. That was like her best friend.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, Line Richie's daughter.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. And she had that tiny dog and a purse. I just remember seeing that going, oh my God, she has a dog and a purse.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_01So I guess if we can hide your dog.
SPEAKER_02What kind of stuff we got coming up on the calendar? Because we literally got three minutes before I have to like cut everybody off here and next time for the colour.
SPEAKER_01No idea. I feel like we're always so busy. It's so crazy. I mean, we're going to have another episode of all the craziness we just went through, but um we have Lewis and Jazz Festival coming up next Saturday. So there's another festival that we're going to be going to. Um, I don't know. Then we have races and wrestling and New York craft beer week.
SPEAKER_02Oh, yeah. There'll be some discussions on that coming forward. I have the golf tournament coming up on Monday for the Brewers, uh, the Brewers Guild.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. I feel like our calendar's packed with stuff. Me scrolling through there would just be like a million things.
SPEAKER_02Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_01But coming up right away, Monday is golf, Saturday is jazz festival. That's right.
SPEAKER_02We're just gonna we're gonna enjoy that. But yeah, there's uh you know an opportunity to uh uh a list, you know. There's a list to get started with.
SPEAKER_01Um, we got about a month left of summer in and if anybody has anything else, let us know. I want to go visit it. Yeah, have a beer outside, enjoy the sunshine while we have it.
SPEAKER_02I yeah, I figure we don't have to. I mean, you know, we're the Buffalo Brews Podcast. We're brewing conversations one episode at a time. Well, what is that voice? I don't know. Nick noting. No, it's talking about buttered sausage.
SPEAKER_01It's terrible. Get rid of it.
SPEAKER_02I don't know. I don't know. Oh my gosh. This is why we do it. This is why we do it. But I mean we don't just we don't just talk breweries all the time, but this and this in this case we're talking about breweries. So um, you know, different places around uh western New York. I mean, we brought up ra rationales. I think that's a good example of a great patio that you know serves beer and some food, and and uh, you know, we'll find out. I mean, I can only hope to expand this list in the future of places that you can go to enjoy some sips outside and uh and maybe some bites. Yeah, yeah. All right, folks. Uh uh we've gabbed long enough and we've recorded two episodes in this uh in the sittings, so I guess we'll we'll we'll talk to you on our next episode. Does that sound good? Would you like that? I'm sure they would.
